Chord Electronics has formally launched its Sizi Pre preamplifier and the Suzi Amp, a stereo power amplifier. They were unveiled at Munich High End in 2024,

The Suzi Amp features Chord Electronics’ groundbreaking ULTIMA amplifier topology, delivering 30 watts of stereo power in a compact design. It can be used with an existing Hugo 2 or the Suzi Pre. The Suzi Amp features 4mm banana loudspeaker outputs and an RCA analogue input.

The Suzi Amp can be paired with the Hugo 2 DAC and the 2go streamer, transforming it into a streaming amplifier. This can be used as a Roon Endpoint with DLNA/UPnP connectivity. The 2go’s twin MicroSD slots can be used for direct media file access.
The Suzi Pre has a built-in MM/MC phono stage with adjustable gain and impedance loads. There are also both 3.5mm and 6.35mm headphone outputs, as well as three RCA analogue inputs. Chord’s famous polychromatic control sphere handles volume and input choices.
A new USB multiplexer is available for use with the Hugo 2 and Suzi Amp configuration, offering USB-B and USB-C data handling and charging capabilities. Finally, there is a charging bridge available that can keep the Hugo 2 DAC charged when the Amp is not in use.

In summary, there are five configurations in the Chord Electronics Suzi concept they are;
- Suzi Pre: a standalone analogue preamp with a phono stage and headphone output
- Suzi Amp: a standalone stereo power amp
- Suzi Pre/Suzi Amp: a compact pre/power amplifier with phono stage and headphone out
- Suzi Amp with a Hugo 2: a DAC/amplifier (add USB-C/B inputs with the Multiplexer)
- Suzi Amp with a Hugo 2 and 2go: A streaming DAC/amp with up to 2 TB MicroSD storage.
The Suzi Pre (£1,995), Suzi Amp (£3,400), and USB Multiplexer (£300) are available now.
